I recorded this sound while it was snowing in a park made from a small forest and in the same time you can hear few dogs barking that they were at the houses build at the edge off this park.

An ice storm moves in to the deep woods of north carolina on 01/30/2014. As the small particles of ice and sleet fall through the pine trees, they land on a bed of pine straw on the ground below. Freezing rain recorded falling underneath a tree at night. Some unfortunate rumble from a nearby airport, could be eq'd out (or left in for something spooky!).

Ambience of a night in december. It snowed earlier in the day, with freezing rain after. In this you can hear icy trees crackle as they sway in the wind. A block away, motorists are passing by. Some people yell out. A one-note wind chime is dinging, sometimes another wind chime sounds. Some ice falls, and various other little things happen. . . I made this recording by using a metal shovel and ramming it into the icy snow. The snow has been around for a couple months now and has been rained on and turned to tiny ice crystals. It sounds like it could be sand, grainy dirt or rock dust.
